In a moment of reflection and renewed dedication during the official inauguration ceremony at the Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area Secretariat in Arigbanla, Hon. Adegoke Waheed Lawal (GOKS), newly sworn-in Councillor representing Ward A, expressed profound gratitude to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Akinola Abiodun Idowu, for his visionary leadership and the successful inauguration of the 6th Council of Councillors.
Speaking to members of the press and community leaders shortly after taking the oath of office, Hon. Adegoke described the occasion as “a turning point for purposeful governance” and “a renewed opportunity to uplift the people of Ward A and beyond.”

I pledge to serve Ward A and the entire Orile Oko-Oba Agege LCDA with transparency, commitment, and love for the people.”

Hon. Adegoke commended the inclusive and dignified tone of the event and acknowledged the presence of notable stakeholders, including members of the council’s management team, youth representatives, civil servants, and members of the media. He gave special recognition to Lemboye Abiola’s Wisdom Diary and Agbajowo Media for their consistent civic engagement and dedicated reportage on Agege and Orile-Agege affairs.
He also extended heartfelt appreciation to HRM, the King of Orile-Agege, the esteemed Baales, chiefs, and community leaders who honoured the occasion with their presence. Their attendance, he noted, lent both cultural significance and community strength to the swearing-in ceremony.

He warmly congratulated Hon. Omotunde Afolabi Abd-Kareem, who emerged as Leader of the House, Hon. Balogun Ajibade, appointed as Deputy Leader, and all other principal officers of the House during the first plenary session that immediately followed the inauguration.
