Akinola Idowu, at the Janazah and Fidau Prayer held in honour of the late Alhaja Tayiba Malowo, the beloved wife of the President, League of Chief Imam and Alfas (Islam), Ikeja Division, Alhaji Saheed Sulaiman Malowo.

Adegoke Waheed Lawal proudly received his Certificate of Return as the duly elected Councillor for Ward A in Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area. The event marked a pivotal moment in the democratic journey of the LCDA and was a resounding affirmation of the people’s choice made during the Lagos State Local Government elections held on July 12, 2025.
Emerging triumphant with a commanding total of 9,560 votes, which is the highest vote in the history of Councilloship election in Ward A Orile-Agege LCDA.
Hon. Adegoke’s victory reflects the overwhelming support and trust bestowed upon him by the people of Ward A. His grassroots appeal, community engagement, and unwavering dedication to service resonated strongly across the ward, culminating in his election to the legislative chamber of Orile-Agege LCDA.
As the electoral process concluded, LASIEC summoned all elected officials, including Chairman-Elect, Vice Chairman-Elect, and Councillors-Elect, to a formal presentation of certificates at its headquarters. Following the conclusion of the Lagos State Local Government Elections held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, Hon. Akinola emerged unopposed and garnered a remarkable 40,993 votes, confirming his commanding popularity and the trust vested in him by the residents of Orile-Agege.
On the morning of Wednesday, July 16, 2025, the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission ( LASIEC) hosted elected officials and dignitaries at its headquarters in Yaba, Lagos, for the formal issuance of Certificates of Return.
Hon. Akinola arrived accompanied by his running mate and Vice Chairman-elect, Hon. Wale Fayemi, alongside Councillors-elect from Wards A to F, all of whom stood united to commemorate the milestone.
With joy and resolve, Hon. Akinola received his certificate from LASIEC officials, marking the official affirmation of his leadership mandate.
